Large Bird Necklace Sterling Silver and Royston Turquoise

This is the grand dame of the birds; the "large" bird of the 3 bird sizes, with articulated wings - wings that move/adjust depending upon wearer and chain length. Wings when worn span 6" across. The entire bird is about 4.5" long and the chains add another few inches.  I hand-texture 2 layers of sterling silver to create wings that move. A sweet green chunk of Royston turquoise is held in a stylized bird body and layers of substantial sterling chains dangle.  The bales are elegantly forged to hold a sturdy sterling long hammered curb chain. I add my hand-forged snake clasp and finish it with a hand-formed sterling feather to dangle down your lovely back. The snake clasp will fit into any opening in the entire chain to fit most. The back is finished with a textural moons, a Metalstory Logo, and my makers initials. Each bird is one-of-a-kind, a definite collectors piece.
