Each Spirit Bird I make is a labor of love and each her own, like no other.

While the last step, after days of making, is setting the stone, the process starts with the stone.

I select a stone that speaks to me, like this vibrant raindrop of Pilot Mountain Turquoise. The personality of the bird takes form around the stone under my loving hands, guided by my discerning eye and instinct.

For this lovely, I gave her extra long, elegant tail feathers. Each plume is individually measured, cut, form, and filed. 

I hand-texture the wings and cut the edges, one cut at a time, finishing with an array of files and bits for a distinctive Metalstory Jewelry look.  I double-up the wings for added dimension, hand-forge the bails, and finish her with a hand-forged snake clasp and dancing feather.

Entirely, hand-crafted out of sterling silver from scratch, there is no other Spirit Bird like her.
